The Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector in D2N2 is a significant partner in the achievement of our local economic ambitions. As an enabler of employment and learning outcomes, by supporting people to address barriers and as a direct employer and contributor to the region’s economy, the relationship with the Local Enterprise Partnership is an important one.
The last D2N2 meeting for voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in March 2020 took place at a time when the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) was focusing on future priorities for the LEP area through the lend of the D2N2 Local Industrial Strategy.
Since then, the impact of Covid-19 has resulted in a rapid and wholesale shift in the stability of our local economy and the circumstances of many of our residents; changing strategic LEP priorities as a result.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to meet the new VCSE and Inclusion representative to the D2N2 LEP Board, Michele Farmer, and opportunities to shape the LEP recovery and procurement strategies.
