On 10 January 2018 the European Commission launched a series of public consultations for preparing the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
The consultations cover the entire spectrum of EU future funding to collect the views of all interested parties on how to make the most of every euro of the EU budget. More specifically, the consultations on Cohesion and Values and Mobility include questions related to the future of the programmes currently run by DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, namely the European Social Fund (ESF), the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD), the Employment and Social Innovation programme (EaSI), and the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF).
The consultations include questions on current performance and future challenges of the programmes. They will help the European Commission gather relevant feedback on what has worked well in the past and what could be improved in the future.
The views already expressed in previous consultations done in the context of Mid-term evaluations will also be taken into account when designing future programmes.
The results of the consultations will be used in 2018 by the Commission to make proposals for the next generation of financial programmes.
The public consultations will run until 8 March 2018.
