The D2N2-backed project GRADS for D2N2 is now offering a series of webinars to local businesses on the topic of digital recruitment.
As a consequence of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, businesses are reassessing how much of their business activity can be replicated remotely, including recruitment.
To varying extents, most employers are now switching their recruitment process online, requiring digital and HR infrastructure as well as a strong online presence when it comes to recruitment, as many graduates no longer have the option to attend an in-person interview.
Through GRADS for D2N2 project, part-funded by the European Social Fund via D2N2, Nottingham Trent University (NTU) are running a series of webinars outlining how businesses can adapt current recruitment processes to ensure a strong cohort of candidates.
These webinars are delivered by Gradconsult, an award-winning consultancy that specialises in supporting SMEs to attract, recruit and retain talent.
They are taking place as part of the GRADS for D2N2 project, which is delivered as part of the wider High-Level Skills programme, to provide support, advice and funding to SMEs in the D2N2 area to grow.
Grads for D2N2 offers eligible businesses graduate talent grants, employability support, advice on higher and degree apprenticeships, and opportunities to put their voice at the heart of the NTU curriculum.
Mike Grey, Head of University’s Partnerships at Gradconsult said: “It is not just about digitising what you’ve done offline, it is about thinking differently to take advantage of the best elements of virtual connectivity.
“A key focus should be seeking to retain an authentic and human feel to online engagement, allowing for exploration and conversation to occur”.
