ERDF National Evaluation: Process Review Report

The England 2014-20 ERDF programme National Evaluation will review the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of investments that have been made at a programme level.

It will consider:

  • The process of implementation and delivery of projects and programmes funded through ERDF;
  • The outcomes of investments and resulting impacts; and
  • The value for money of the ERDF programme as a whole.

The National Evaluation is broken down into 3 phases each providing more detailed information as more data about the programme becomes available:

  • Phase 1 (Quarter 3, 2019) – insights in to good practice in delivery and management
  • Phase 2 (Quarter 2, 2020) – emerging insight into impact and what works
  • Phase 3 (Quarter 3, 2021) - extensive analysis of delivery, impact and VFM

A key output of phase 1 is the Process Review Report. The Report is currently being finalised prior to publication, but in the meantime the diagram below highlights key successes in the Report.

The complete findings are set out in the report and will help shape future local growth funding programmes.
