The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) Growth Programme opened a new call under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), with a deadline for Expression of Interest of February 16th 2020.
Rural businesses across D2N2 can benefit from a further guaranteed £35 million worth of funding to create new jobs, boost tourism, and unlock growth in rural areas.
The new call will provide grants of between £20,000 to £750,000 for rural businesses to construct or improve buildings, purchase new equipment and machinery to grow their business or open up opportunities for tourism.
There are 3 types of grant - business development, food processing and rural tourism infrastructure.
More information on the Rural Development Programme can be found here, including the Expression of Interest form: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/rdpe-growth-programme
To support rural businesses across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to make the most of these opportunities the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership held workshops in January 2020 where delegates could meet rural advisers on how to complete high quality applications to the RDPE.
This project is part-funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 in England.
